I wasn’t supposed to be a web designer. I was meant to be head of marketing in a big corporate job. I was interested in social media and graphic design, so I ended up studying digital marketing. And then I fell in love… Not with just anyone, but… Oh wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. Maybe I should start from the beginning.
I was so excited! Beauty, cosmetics, hair – all of it fascinated me. When my fixed-term contract ended, I landed a job at a large Nordic IT company. At that point, I was still studying. I was the only person handling marketing at the Finnish office.
I created content, ran paid ads, wrote newsletters, produced customer case studies, updated the website, and tracked analytics. My career progressed quickly, and I was invited to join the Nordic marketing team. Suddenly, I found myself sitting at the table in Oslo with the big bosses, representing Finland in a major rebranding project.
And that’s when it hit me. Suddenly everything became clear. This is what I want to do. I want to build brands that grab attention. I want to design websites that stand out.
I had built websites with WordPress, Webflow, and Sanity, but none of them really sparked anything in me. Then I found Showit. And suddenly, I had all the creative freedom. The freedom to design websites that were visual, distinctive, and strategic.
I started learning more. I dove into web design and the power of branding. It felt like a light switched on — or maybe I did. I already knew a lot about marketing, customer journeys, and modern trends, and I saw how so many websites had fallen behind. I realized I could bring to life the visions, dreams, and ideas of how we show up online.
That’s when I decided to leave behind my safe and promising career in marketing — a career that had a lot of potential. But I knew my years of experience in marketing, combined with the courage to create websites that truly stand out, could help entrepreneurs finally have strategic, sales-driven, and visually powerful websites that reflect their mission and personality — and attract the right kind of clients.
I could listen to Jaakko Kulta, Sanni, Ibe, Haloo Helsinki, and so on, non-stop.
This doesn't need to be thought about twice. I could live on mashed potatoes, and sometimes I just eat mashed potatoes on their own.
I went skydiving in Australia from an altitude of four kilometers. Never again.
I don’t drink anything without ice. I even prefer my coffee cold with ice.
That’s why it’s also in my logo! I love everything that has lemon in it!
